Sometimes anAtlas "unexpectantly quits" when I searching.
This is an instability issue in the anAtlas 2 betas when searching internet databases that will fixed before the final release.

anAtlas causes my computer to crash soon after I quit it !
Running anAtlas may result in a crash on or soon after anAtlas quits if a Palm Desktop version earlier than 2.6.3 is installed. Palm has fixed this problem in version 2.6.3. Get the latest version at http://www.palm.com/support/macintosh/

The map redraw speed stinks.
anAtlas preloads the Map graphic for increased speed. If anAtlas is running low on memory, anAtlas will unload the map to free up memory. This will result in slow map redraw and overall sluggish performance. This can occur if there is less than 8 MB of available RAM. Try quitting anAtlas and some other applications to free up memory. Then rerun anAtlas.

I have plenty of RAM free and the map redraw speed still stinks.
This can occur if listing or transfering several thousand results or Favorites. To prevent this from happening, get info on the anAtlas application and increase its preferred memory size. Also, if multiple monitors are being used, anAtlas's preferred memory size should be increased by an additional 2 MB.

anAtlas quits with a type xx error.
anAtlas is probably out of memory. See above.

What map? All I see is blinking dots.
When running anAtlas under a combination of Mac OS 8.6 and QuickTime 5.0.2 (QuickTime Installer 5.0.5), the QuickTime compressed JPEG maps used by anAtlas may not be visible. Refer to AppleCare Knowledge Base article 61551, "Mac OS 8.6: JPEG Pictures and Movies Appear Blank With QuickTime 5.0.5" Apple's solution is to open the System Folder / Extensions / QuickTime Extensions folder and drag the QuickTime JPEG Update file to the Trash.
